The Exhale Circle

A Restorative Gathering for Educators at the End of the School Year

June can feel like moving immediately from one responsibility to the next. Final grades. Classroom clean-up. Report cards. Summer planning. Family responsibilities.

You may be ending the school year feeling proud of what you've contributed while also carrying some combination of exhaustion, grief, gratitude, relief, uncertainty, or accomplishment.

The Exhale Circle creates space to PAUSE… before moving on.

This gathering is for educators who believe relationships are central to learning and who understand schools as communities, not simply institutions. It is for people trying to practice care, accountability, belonging, and equity in classrooms, schools, and educational spaces.

We'll reflect on the school year that is ending, acknowledge what it required from us, celebrate moments that deserve recognition, and consider what we want to carry forward and what we are ready to release.

This is not a training, professional development session, or workshop. There will be no slides, breakout rooms, implementation plans, or strategies to take back to your school.

We'll gather in circle, share stories, listen to one another, and mark the transition from one season to the next.

No previous experience with restorative practices is required. No preparation is required.

If you've spent this year caring for students, colleagues, families, or community while working to create more connected, equitable, and human-centered educational spaces, you'll likely find yourself among people who understand.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of educator is this for?

This gathering is for educators who care deeply about relationships, belonging, accountability, equity, and the human side of learning.

Classroom teachers, counselors, instructional coaches, school leaders, support staff, higher education professionals, after-school educators, community educators, and others are all welcome.

The simplest guideline is this: if you would describe yourself as someone who cares about building more connected, caring, and equitable learning communities, you're likely in the right place.

Is this donation-based?

Yes. This is a pay-what-you-can offering with a suggested contribution of $27.

If you're able to contribute more, your contribution helps make spaces like this accessible to others. If $27 feels out of reach right now, contribute what you can. If that amount is $.50 (the least stripe will let me charge) you're still welcome to join us.

Is this a workshop or training?

No.

There will be no slides, lectures, breakout rooms, or implementation strategies.

This is a restorative circle. We'll spend our time reflecting, listening, sharing stories, celebrating, and marking the transition from one school year to the next.

You won't leave with a toolkit.

You will leave having spent time in community with people who understand what this year required.

I really don't want to be on camera. Can I still attend?

Absolutely.

You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you.

You can keep your camera off. You can participate in the chat. You can simply listen. You can share once or not at all.

This is an invitational space, not a performative one.

While I encourage people to participate as fully as they are able, nobody will be pressured to speak, share personal information, or turn on their camera.

Your presence is enough.

Will a recording be available?

No. This gathering will not be recorded. The value of the experience comes from being together in real time, and we want participants to feel comfortable sharing in a confidential space.
