Why Amplify RJ Exists

Amplify RJ began in 2020 as a public education initiative to share practical tools and stories about Restorative Justice (literally "amplify").

What started as social media posts and conversations grew into workshops, consulting partnerships, facilitated processes, a podcast, online resources, and a community of people exploring what it means to live restorative values in everyday life.

Along the way, one lesson became increasingly clear:

Many people support the values of connection, accountability, equity, belonging, and repair. Far fewer have been given opportunities to practice them.

Amplify RJ exists to help close that gap.

Our Vision

We envision communities, organizations, schools, and relationships rooted in trust, accountability, equity, and belonging.

We believe Restorative Justice offers more than a response to conflict or harm. It offers a way of relating to ourselves and one another that can strengthen communities before harm occurs and support meaningful repair when it does.

What We Do

Amplify RJ supports individuals, schools, organizations, and communities through:

Training & Workshops

Interactive learning experiences that help participants develop restorative mindsets, skills, and practices.

Coaching & Consulting

Partnerships that help organizations align policies, systems, leadership practices, and culture with restorative values.

Facilitation & Restorative Processes

Circles, conversations, conferences, and facilitated spaces that support connection, decision-making, accountability, conflict navigation, healing, and collective problem-solving.

Public Education

We utilize multiple tools that help make Restorative Justice more accessible and actionable. Learn more about Restorative Justice through our:

The World We're Cultivating

Our work is informed by Indigenous understandings of interconnection and shaped by commitments to equity, anti-racism, decolonization, abolition, and collective liberation.

We understand harm as both interpersonal and systemic. We believe healthy relationships and healthy communities require attention to power, privilege, culture, history, and material conditions.

We are interested in accountability that transforms rather than punishes, belonging that extends beyond inclusion, and community responses that strengthen our capacity to care for one another.
